Always good to visit the Modern National Galleries in Edinburgh. Good to see Evelyn Nicodemus exhibition and Bruce McClean. Also some permanent pictures at last on show again and rehung. Need to keep changing and holding the interest. Good quality food in the Cafés on site.

Entry to the permanent collection is free but i left a small donation. It was refreshing to see that over two-thirds of the exhibited works were by women artists—an inspiring and unusual focus.
The sculpture garden is lovely for a stroll, and I suggest borrowing the paper guide they have at reception so you never missed anything. Overall nice place to explore if you have time.

Beautiful, normal, but with a slight sigh at you as you enter and don't donate. We donated at the carpark and paid as per. The art was beautiful, the side eye was not welcoming.
